tranqulity

Content (20/40)- I hate to be brutal, but your diary is nothing new. You rarely talk about your daily life and events, but I think I would actually prefer to read that compared to the poetical entries you post. I'm not a hater of poetry or emotions, at all. I love poetry, if it's the right kind, but yours are things I've read 1,000 times from 1,000 different people. It's teenage angst at it's worst. You write well and your vocabulary expands well beyond your years, but the "I'm alone and hate life" cliche isn't my thing. Now, if you had done it in a different manner than everyone else, I might have enjoyed it, but you didn't. You hopped the depressed, teenager bandwagon and took me along for the ride. I know life is hard and things aren't that great now, but they'll get better. As for your diary, I don't know what to tell you. I hate reading the same repetitive drivel and there is really no way you can fix it. It has to fix itself.

Layout (6/10)- For starters, get that host link out of the top left corner. You already have diaryland linked in your drop-down menu, so you don't need it there. The colors blend together nicely, which is a definite plus. I don't particularly like the pink hue of the not visited links and the brown hue of the visited links. I think it clashes, but I'm not one for matching colors, so what do I know? The image is pretty and the quote seems to suit you and your writing exactly. I wouldn't use this layout, but it fits you. Another plus because I've never seen it before, so props for being somewhat original.

Grammar and Spelling (5/15)- T-r-a-n-q-u-i-l-i-t-y is misspelled at the top of your page [ how can you misspell that when it's written in the image?! ] and q-u-i-z-z-e-s in you links section on the drop down menu. Bad start. Everything else seems to be acceptable, minus the minor typo's and occasional misspellings.

Updating (5/5)- I could care less. Free points.

Contacts (6/10)- Guestbook. Notes. Email.

Getting Around (6/10)- I despise drop-down menus, but they seem all the rage. I find it hard to navigate with a drop-down menu, so you lose a couple points.

Extra Things (5/5)- Cast. About Me. Quizzes. Reviews. 101 Things. Damn survey. Last 5 entries.

Fun Factor (1/5)- I was more annoyed than amused.

Extra Credit (0/5)- None.

Total (54/100)-

Comments- I know it sounds like I didn't like your diary, and to be honest I didn't have too much of a taste for it. The only things that turned me off were the misspellings and of course, what you write about. I know you're writing how you feel and what you think, but everyone else fels the same way and you're not expressing it any differently than they do. Try to write more intensely and honest and on different subjects. Hopefully that will get rid of some of the angst in your writing.
