bad-huntsman
Bad-Huntsman's Diary Content (35/40)- I came into this review expecting bad, depressing poetry about depression and cutting. Although you do have your mix of depression and cutting, you also have several enlightening poems. Most diaryland poetry diaries are chock full of meaningless words, cliched bullshit about death, hate, and love, but yours were very different. This entry confused me. It's in German and well, I don't speak it. A nice translation to us non-German folk would be nice. This was my favorite entry. It's an original idea and is very beautifully phrased. A few of the other poems stood out, but not as much as that one. I must say, you do have your typical angsty poetry, but I think you have some great ideas flying around your head that are goin to come out. Besides, everyone writes a few bad poems. One thing that confused me was in some entries the ending was "-Erin" and in others, "-Bad Hunstman." Is that your name or do you share this diary with another person? I couldn't find anything that described it, so I have no idea. You didn't have very many entries for me to wade through. I'm partial to that, because although it wasn't much to read, I couldn't get a complete grasp on your writing style. I wish you had more entries and I'll probably be back to see how your creativity develops.
Layout (3/10)- You give credit to them. It's an imageless layout consisting of 3 tables with dashed borders and a lot of blue. It even says "Feeling Blue..." at the top on a background of fading blue. I don't like this much at all. Wether or not it has something to do with my horrible vision is beyond me, but I find it very difficult to read the entries, links because the dark shade of blue blends in with the black background. The only thing that seems somewhat visible to me is the short description of your entries and the word "Navigation." I'm assuming, because it's in larger and bolder font. If I were you I would find something that everyone could view. Along with the fact that I can barely read your entries, I didn't like the "feel" of this layout with your writing. It took away from it, in my opinion. Also, it didn't have a previous and next link so I had to go to the archives page to read a different entry. I can't believe that a professional design site made this, it looks like one of the choppy, home-made designs I see all the time. Please find something new that's easily viewable and doesn't oppress your writing.
Grammar and Spelling (10/15)- Eh, some good, some bad. Spelling is a little off, you use ellipsis in several entries.
Updating (5/5)- I don't care. Automatic 5 points.
Contacts (1/10)- Notes.
Getting Around (3/10)- It would probabaly be easier if I could see the links. No previous and next link AND you didn't have a link that lead me back to the current entry in the archives section.
Extra Things (1/5)- Reviews.
Fun Factor (0/5)- No fun was had here, sorry.
Extra Credit (1/5)- One point for the one great poem.
Total (59/100)-
Comments- Get a new layout, definitely. Isn't it hard for you to read your diary?
